Today I met my friend and neighbor (we'll call her "C" to protect the innocent) up at Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a little workout. The scenery was amazing (of course), and the workout was great.
Going from the parking lot up the long ramp to the amphitheatre itself was a good warm-up. First, she had me walking back & forth along the seat rows, skipping a row in between. I started at the bottom (well, row 10 because they were setting up for a show) and went all the way to the top. Here is a view from the top:
Then we went all the way to the bottom again, and she had me do some side-stepping/grapevine things up the steps to work on my adductors & abductors. That was challenging! And at the very top section (in order to test out my new jog bra) she had me jump up the steps. (No black eyes!) After all of that, walking back down the steps was difficult! Here is the view from the bottom:
Being at Red Rocks is a good precursor to being among the red rocks near St. George, Utah. I felt tired and exhilarated after my workout today! Thanks C!
Pretty soon you'll be running up those stairs! =)
